Vintage LOT of 12 PIECES of crewel/ cross stitch/ embroidery
...completed/ finished, unframed. MIXED BRANDS, themes.
Sunset designs, Boye needlework, Paragon are some brands that are visible on the pieces- please look at photos for sizes and intricacy of work.
No stains or yellowing or rips on any of them- a couple do show embroidery hoop marks though.
There are some wonderful ones in this lot- the hand pump one itself would be priced at , the bird on a stick is just too good- would be around , so this combined price is a steal.
Part of a suitcase full of crewel pieces and other handiwork, done by someone's grandma in 1970's all the way till 1992.....there are 66 pieces, a lot of those pieces got sold already, but some are still available in my store...These embroideries were never displayed, all the work was just stored in a suitcase!!
SOOOO much hand work went into making these embroideries, but still needs to be framed (Frames not included)!
Very NICELY stitched, acrylic yarn crewel or floss embroidery, done on cotton linen fabric.
No smoke odor, but does have moth ball smell from being stored in a suitcase with several crewel/ wool pieces. I have been airing it out, so hope to diminish the smell, but you may want to put it in a dryer with some dryer sheets to get rid of the remaining smell.
All the crewel is intact!
